Clay Floyd

Chief Executive Officer

Clay’s construction career began in 1988, building a lean-to for his grandfather’s tractor. Early volunteer work on community centers in North Carolina and Texas gave him hands-on experience with site work, foundations, concrete and painting. He went on to build hotels and renovate apartments, including exterior recladding and window projects.

After moving to the Pacific Northwest in 2001, Clay progressed from carpenter through superintendent, project manager and construction leadership roles, ultimately becoming president and co-owner of a commercial general contractor focused on unit interiors and capital improvements. At Maverick, he brings that field-to-leadership perspective to project planning and delivery, keeping owner objectives at the center of the work.
